New Victorian legislation is expected to require all pool and spa owners in Victoria to register their pool or spa with council on a Pool and Spa Register. The legislation also states that there will be mandatory inspections undertaken every 3 years. The purpose of the legislation is to help combat drowning incidents in Victoria.
The VBA has created a swimming pools, spas and their safety barriers checklist to advise home-owners of their obligations, before, during and after construction.
